Last year’s cosmetic comedy phenomenon, Carrie Ann’s Kiss, gets a facelift and a transplant as it moves from Theatre Charlotte to Booth Playhouse through April 28. Cut-throat conservatism lurks beneath the elegant foundation of Carrie Ann Cosmetics as Jacklyn Dabaddie seeks to retain the coveted “Ruby Kiss,” awarded at the posh National Convention and emblematic of the company’s top salesperson. She’ll stop at nothing, but she’s never faced such competition: fellow finalists include a rebellious Goth teen and … a man! Previewed last night and continues Wednesday through Saturday evenings at 8:00 p.m., plus a Sunday matinee on April 22 at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $20-$35.
