It’s a good thing that fans of threesome pop-punk rock act Blink-182 didn’t give up hopes of the group’s reunion, after its 2005 breakup. Otherwise, the band would have no reason to come together again in 2009, and to embark on a tour, even though it hasn’t released a new album since 2003. Oh well, I guess we can give ’em a break. They do have five albums worth of material, and drummer Travis Barker did survive a horrid plane crash in 2008. Still, it never hurts to hope for more. Maybe they will throw some newbies in, while on their current tour, which stops at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Charlotte on Oct. 6. Either way, welcome back Blink! With Fall Out Boy. $19-$68. 6:30 p.m. Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre, 707 Pavilion Blvd. 704-549-5555. www.livenation.com.
