It’s pretty sweet that Charlotte Symphony does the good deed of giving folks a high-quality series of summer concerts for free. Having already staged performances with titles like Symphonic Dances, Musical Travels and Supermen, the symphony presents another concert on June 27 at Symphony Park at SouthPark Mall. The show, titled Music for Lovers, will include romantic pieces such as Felix Mendelssohn’s wedding march for Shakespeare’s play A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet overture, Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe’s My Fair Lady and more — to be conducted by the charismatic Albert-George Schram. Free. Preludes at 7 p.m.; orchestra concert at 8:15 p.m. Symphony Park at SouthPark Mall, 4400 Sharon Road. www.charlottesymphony.org.
