Canadian musician Kathleen Edwards will bring her fusion of alternative country and folk rock to the Q.C. for a performance at McGlohon Theatre this evening. The singer’s debut album, Failer (released in 2003) contains hits like “Six O’Clock News” and “Hockey Skates,” while 2005’s Back to Me features other singles you might have heard, including “In State,” “Back to Me,” and “Summerlong,” (the latter was featured on the soundtrack for the film Elizabethtown). Edwards is currently on tour in support of her newest album Asking For Flowers. 7:30 p.m. McGlohon Theatre, 345 N. College St. 704-372-1000. www.blumenthalcenter.org.
