Charlotte-based band Secondhand Stories will perform with Reed KD at The Evening Muse and it’s a show worth checking out. Secondhand Stories has an indie folk style that at times even seems to blur along the lines of country. Their song “Unmade Bed” travels back and forth with folk and country vibes. The other act Reed KD has a poppy folk series of sounds. “Sinking Stone” is catchy and melodic along with “Don’t Be Down,” which features keyboard and sounds a bit like another emerging-onto-the-scene-artist, Cassettes Won’t Listen. Both of these acts look very promising. Their music is eclectic and soothing as well. $5. 9:30 p.m. The Evening Muse, 3227 N. Davidson St. 704-376-3737. www.theeveningmuse.com.
