Carole King may have “[felt] the earth move,” but you can watch it get down during the Ethos Professional Chamber Orchestra and Chamber Choir Concert to Benefit Catawba Lands Conservancy. The Earth Dances, as the presentation is called, focuses on permanently protecting the land, water and wildlife habitat by enhancing the quality of life in North Carolina’s Southern Piedmont and Lower Catawba River Basin. The program will include works by Aaron Copland, Leonard Bernstein, Antonio Vivaldi and more, conducted by Paul E. Oakley. 8 p.m. $10-$20. McGlohon Theatre, Spirit Square, 345 N. College St. 704-372-1000. www.blumenthalcenter.org.
