Eem hayita bimdeenah zarah … If you were ever transplanted into a strange land, trying to acclimate yourself among the people who were born there, everything they tried to tell you would sound like gibberish. Children’s Theatre of Charlotte will be introducing its audiences to that same queasy feeling of disorientation with New Kid at the Wachovia Playhouse through Feb. 11. Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 3 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m. — plus a 4 p.m. encore on Feb. 11. Front orchestra $18, general admission $14. Call 704-973-2828
