It might be one of those events where you have to repeat to yourself “Don’t drop it,” while attending, but the 4th Annual Potters Market Invitational is the way to go if you’re a pottery collector or looking to add an art form to your home. Forty North Carolina potters will be at the market on the Mint Museum of Art’s lawn — displaying the ceramic wares they got their hands dirty creating. Pottery on display ranges from vases to table wares, each made across N.C. You can even snag some pieces at affordable prices. $8 (with admission into the museum). 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Mint Museum of Art, 2730 Randolph Road. 704-337-2000. www.mintmuseum.org.
