Taste of Charlotte event is a culinary celebration where restaurants from around town show off select items from their menus. Visitors purchase tokens and carefully debate on how to spend them — or simply buy more after round one of the feeding forays. Food samplings include more than 90 options, from places like Caffe Sienna, Polka Dot Bake Shop, Harvest Moon Grille, Wild Wing Cafe, among others. Live entertainment, wine tastings and other activities will also be provided during the event. For a full list of participating restaurants and more information, visit www.tasteofcharlotte.com. Admission is free, but coins must be purchased for food samples and beverages. June 10-11, 11 a.m.-11 p.m.; June 12, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Held Uptown at Tryon Street (from Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to 6th Street).
