With the way the weather keeps alternating between hot and cold, it’s the perfect reminder that your relationship needs a kick in the pants — tuxedo pants that is. Why not take your bride-to-be to the Wedding Showcase in a place named one of the nation’s 20 Great Gardens. Your “Eve” will be tempted at every turn by a buffet of wedding planners, photographers and such while you walk off those cold feet on the 450 acres along Lake Wylie. The showcase, an annual favorite among brides and grooms throughout the region, is held at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden located at 6500 South New Hope Road (Highway 279) in Belmont, NC. Guests who register at the event will be eligible for hundreds of dollars in door prizes donated by participating vendors. Admission is free to members; $8 nonmembers; $6.50 seniors 60+ and $4 children 4-12. Group rates available. For more info visit www.dsbg.org or call 704-825-4490.
