On Saturday, Dec. 9, Reel Soul Cinema in association with Be Good Be Blessed presents a special encore of the thoroughly discussed film by Andrea Wiley (pictured right) Soul Mate. A movie that answers the question plaguing the minds of today’s successful, saved and single African-American women. In taking a stance against why 42.3 percent of all African-American women are single, this film reveals the path to finding joy and purpose in these trying times. Wiley formed Clean Heart Production, a Christian based multi-media company headquartered in Los Angeles, “to bring attention to the power of Christian faith by illustrating Scriptural principles in a relevant, relatable and irresistible way.” With that concept in mind, Soul Mate asks you to explore a higher option when looking for your other half. The screening will be held at the Afro-American Cultural Center, located at 401 N. Myers St. Tickets are $8 at the door with proceeds going to aid the Minority Youth Film Group.
