CHECKING THE TIME: Performances of Alice in Concert will go down at ImaginOn's McColl Family Theatre April 17-May 3. Credit: Mere Images

This isn’t a bunch of nonsense, folks (Or is it?). Children’s Theatre of Charlotte is presenting playwright and composer Elizabeth Swados’ Alice in Concert, a musical based off of Lewis Carroll’s children’s lit classics, Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. Just imagine how crazy tunes will get when sung by charismatic characters like the ever-so-lost Alice, the time-challenged White Rabbit, the tea-addicted Mad Hatter and the mysterious Cheshire Cat. Yes, everything will in fact be pure nonsense and well worth the wonderment. Ages 6 and up. Continues through May 3. April 17, 7:30 p.m.; April 18, 1 p.m. & 4 p.m.; April 19, 2 p.m.; April 25, 1 p.m. & 4 p.m.; April 26, 2 p.m.; May 1, 7:30 p.m.; May 2, 1 p.m.; May 3, 2 p.m. $18-$24. McColl Family Theatre at ImaginOn, 300 E. 7th St. 704-973-2828. www.ctcharlotte.org.
