It’s all rock ‘n’ roll, fun and games until the army decides to draft you. In Bye Bye Birdie, the Tony Award-winning musical, that’s just the case with singing sensation Conrad Birdie. Meanwhile his agent is left up the creek without a canoe (so to speak); that is, until he plans for Birdie to star on the Ed Sullivan Show. And what seems like a last kiss becomes a punch in the face as the TV appearance becomes a spotlight flop. $5-$18. Feb. 21, 2:30 p.m. CPCC’s Halton Theater, 1206 Elizabeth Ave. 704-330-6534. http://tix.cpcc.edu/.
