Barbaric times are in store as Defending the Caveman returns to Booth Playhouse for round two (having already staged performances in the Q.C. back in October). The show examines the strains of male and female relationships in prehistoric times (remember, even the Flintstones weren’t perfect). And best of all, you’ll be able to relate. The hunter-gatherer onstage will tell a pile of stories pertaining to all the battles and beauties couples share. Through Dec. 31. Dec. 29, 7:30 p.m.; Dec. 30, 7:30 p.m.; Dec. 31, 7:30 p.m. Booth Playhouse, 130 N. Tryon St. 704-372-1000. www.blumenthalcenter.org.
