Why wait for the screen adaptation of John Patrick Shanley’s Doubt, A Parable to drop into movie theaters? The play is coming to Duke Energy Theatre this month, and it looks like a jaw dropper. After all, it does center around the suspicious relationship between a Catholic school boy and Father Flynn. When a concerned nun fears for the boy’s safety and the school’s reputation, things start to get shady. Now what could be getting this nun so riled up? A priest would never hurt a young boy! Right? Continues through Nov. 23. Nov. 15, 8 p.m.; Nov. 16, 2 p.m.; Nov. 19-22, 8 p.m. Nov. 23, 2 p.m. $16-$26. Duke Energy Theatre, 345 N. College St. 704-372-1000. www.blumenthalcenter.org.
