For many of us, reminiscing over the trials of high school isn’t fun. Broken hearts and crummy cliques dominated what should have been “electrifying,” you know, like in the film/musical sensation Grease. Its plot centers on the complicated, yet exciting, lovey doviness between a tough greasy-haired fella named Danny and a preppified cheerleading chick named Sandy. Catchy and uplifting songs, like “You’re The One That I Want,” will only have you singing “O, O, Oo!” like a broken record. In his second go-round American Idol winner Taylor Hicks (pictured), stars as Teen Angel in the musical, which stops in at Ovens Auditorium for six days. Continues through Dec. 6. $25 and up.
