When Tyler Perry parades through Bojangles’ Coliseum, you can expect he’ll be in full cross-dressing gear, (a gray wig, a dress, panty hose, accessories, and makeup — there’s no forgetting the lipstick!) as he takes to playing the part of his argumentative altar ego, Madea. The feisty character, an old woman who is set in her ways and frequently pulls a gun out of her handbag to solve dilemmas, stars once again as the dazzling attention-getter in Perry’s 13th stage play, titled Madea’s Big Happy Family. $50-$75. 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Bojangles’ Coliseum, 2700 E. Independence Blvd. 1-800-745-3000. www.bojanglescoliseum.com.
