Weddings can be stressful or so I’ve heard from friends who have taken the plunge. That makes Mamma Mia all the more unrealistic. Broadway’s long-running musical about a girl — to be married on a lovely Greek island — who invites three men (one of whom, she hopes to determine is her father on the eve of the big day) to her wedding without her mother’s consent. In the real world, this would equal out to a heart attack, agreed? But with zippy music provided by ABBA, you’ll be singing along and laughing at the jitters and utter hysteria in no time. $30 and up. July 26-28, 7:30 p.m.; July 29, 8 p.m.; July 30, 2 p.m. & 8 p.m.; July 31, 1:30 p.m. & 7 p.m. $30 and up. Belk Theater, 130 N. Tryon St. 704-372-1000. www.blumenthalarts.org.
