It’s alive! Carolina Actors Studio Theatre has concocted an evening of entertainment by the horror of an unworthy scary creation with Monster. Based on Mary Shelley’s classic horror novel Frankenstein, the production — which was adapted by Neal Bell — aims to bring light to the stunning creation made by the mad scientist. Is that possible? How innocent can a half-dead lookin’ creature with bolts in his neck be? If I were him, I’d be pissed. Celebrate before Halloween, the day of or after as the monster-mash of a drama goes down through Nov. 15. $18-$22. Oct. 30-Nov. 15.
