It’s alive! Carolina Actors Studio Theatre has concocted an evening of entertainment via the horror of an unworthy creature with Monster. Based on Mary Shelley’s classic horror novel Frankenstein, the production — which was adapted by Neal Bell — aims to bring light to the stunning creation made by the mad scientist. Is that possible? How innocent can a scar-ridden being with bolts in his neck be? If I were him, I’d be pissed. See the drama, as it all goes down through Nov. 15. $18-$22. Nov. 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 8 p.m.; Nov. 9, 2:30 p.m. Carolina Actors Studio Theatre, 1118 Clement Ave. 704-455-8542. www.nccast.com.
