With the economy down and the number of jobs diminishing, the nation is really going through some hard times. And just imagine all those starving artists out there — they’re really starving now if they weren’t before. Based on the Puccini opera La Boheme, the story line of Rent follows a group of young artists searching for themselves and love all while just trying to get by. This long-running Broadway musical classic should hit close to home, even though its setting in New York City’s East Village isn’t exactly the Q.C.
