What does Dr. Seuss + musical= ? … Seussical. Theatre Charlotte’s newest production is based on the works of the one, and only, Dr. Seuss. That means the telling of classic tales, by the rhythm-and-rhyme-enthused author, are in order — along with some wacky characters like Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie and the cute lil’ Whos of Whoville. But, let’s not forget about the music scores. Seussical also contains a batch of fun songs rising from musical genres including Latin, pop, swing, gospel, R&B and funk. $7-$24.
