It’s nearly time to head over yonder to Carolina Actors Studio Theatre, as it presents the new musical/play Foxfire. This time it’s gettin’ down to the nitty-gritty with a country-feel from the bluegrass music of the Stony Lonesome Boys to a good ol’ aging mountain home with its stubborn inhabitant, Aunt Annie (she isn’t gettin’ any younger either). She’s a hollerin’ and hootin’ that she’s not gonna sell her land to a greedy real estate man. Meanwhile, he’s wantin’ to lasso it up faster than a cowboy. But Dillard Nations, Annie’s son, is comin’ round the mountain to visit his former home. You just gotta’ be there to see what happens. $18-$22. Sept. 11-Oct. 4. Sept. 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27, 8 p.m.; Sept. 14, 21, 28, 2:30 p.m.; Oct. 2, 3, 4, 8 p.m. Carolina Actors Studio Theatre, 1118 Clement Ave. 704-455-8542. www.nccast.com.
