CPCC’s Summer Theatre has been busy at work. Already bringing plays like Into The Woods and A Year With Frog & Toad to the stage, it continues with another drama, The Drowsy Chaperone. This parody of a 1920s Broadway musical comes to life as an obsessive Broadway fan listens to a recording of his favorite musical in his lonely apartment, where his imagination takes a run for the wild. $17-$21. July 20, 7 p.m.; July 21-22, 7:30 p.m.; July 23-24, 8 p.m. CPCC’s Halton Theater, 1201 Elizabeth Ave. 704-330-6534. http://arts.cpcc.edu/performing-arts/summer-theatre/shows.
