Collaborative Arts’ Charlotte Shakespeare Festival returns to the Q.C. for free performances of plays written by Shakespeare (Duh!). Check out performances of the love-triangle comedy Twelfth Night, outside at The Green Uptown through June 14. In addition, on Wednesdays you can come early (at 7:15 p.m.) and participate in Shakespeare trivia nights — ’tis if you do know a little about the gent and his works — for prizes. Free. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 6:30 p.m. The Green Uptown, adjacent to Three Wachovia Center between the 400 block of South Tryon Street and College Street, directly across from the Charlotte Convention Center. 704-625-1288. www.charlotteshakespeare.com.
