The balance of black and white is key in Culture Initiative’s latest exhibit at Baku Gallery. Various artists were asked to create two 12×12″ canvases using both shades to represent contrast. Each work is reflective of the artists’ own views toward contrast as well as the use of their choice of mediums (which range in styles such as abstract, surrealist, mixed media and more).

Opening reception on April 1, from 6 p.m.-10 p.m. Exhibit continues through April 30. Free. Baku Gallery, 3200 N. Davidson St. 704-376-4556. www.fustattoos.com.
