Hallelujah -- Haiti's troubles are over!

It’s time for the Stupid Thing of the Week, so give it up for Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH), a religious group, based in Albuquerque, NM. They announced their plan to piggyback on shipments of medicine, food and water to Haiti by disaster relief organization Convoy of Hope. Rather than add to the amount of medicine, food and water, though, FCBH is sending Haitians what any disaster victim really needs: a solar-powered audio Bible. That’s right, it’s The Proclaimer – not  just any Bible – it’s solar-powered and speaks for itself! According to the FCBH site, the Proclaimer provides “digital quality,” is “self-powered, and can play the Bible in the jungle, desert or … even on the moon!” And the cluelessness merry-go-round keeps on spinning.

  1. Thanks for your thoughts John. All the Haitians we’ve talked with have said, “Thank you for the Bibles, send more.”

Besides, these audio Bibles are still in the states enroute to dozens of relief groups who have called ASKING for them because they know the Haitians also need the emotional and spiritual healing the Bible can bring.

  2. Your right Frank. It will be early Feb before they arrive. These audio Bibles are still in the states. They aren’t in the streets, the Haitian airports, seaports.

  3. Just because I know you wont see it reported on this web site, I am going to report more climate gate news.

It looks like climate gate II and III have just occurred.

    II
The main crazy looking IPCC guy Pachuri turns out to have known of a Himalayan glacier mistake but failed to correct it but then used the false data to request funds.

    III
The global warming believers have said the CRU may have been wrong but there is no way the American data would also be wrong. It turns out that the American data is also corrupted. 75% of all data stations were dropped in 1990. The stations that were kept were mainly the warmer ones. On top of this the method they used to smooth out the temps would generate even more increases in temps on paper. That Hansen guy was caught changing historical data in the past so it’s no surprise that he screwed with these temps to me but now we have the proof.

Will we see this on the news? Nope
Will Obama keep pushing for cap and trade? Yes

Obama is digging a deeper and deeper grave for himself.

  4. From The Guardian:

Mojib Latif, a climate expert at the Leibniz Institute at Kiel University in Germany, said he “cannot understand” reports that used his research to question the scientific consensus on climate change.

He told the Guardian: “It comes as a surprise to me that people would try to use my statements to try to dispute the nature of global warming. I believe in manmade global warming. I have said that if my name was not Mojib Latif it would be global warming.”

He added: “There is no doubt within the scientific community that we are affecting the climate, that the climate is changing and responding to our emissions of greenhouse gases.”

Latif said his research suggested that up to half the warming seen over the 20th century was down to this natural ocean effect, but said that was consistent with the 2007 report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. “No climate specialist would ever say that 100 percent of the warming we have seen is down to greenhouse gas emissions.”
