Alvin!!!

I have such fond memories of Alvin and the Chipmunks while growing up. I mean, who doesn’t love that holiday song where he “just wants a hula hoop”?

When I heard that Hollywood was planning a live-action film about the trio, I had a lot of hesitation. The first thing going through my head was, “This is gonna be Garfield all over again.” The casting of Jason Lee gave me hope, but then I forgot about it.

I forgot all about it … until now. They’ve released the movie poster … and it isn’t pretty.

For the love of all childhood memories, I hope this is a fake. CGI chipmunks are expected, but why would they turn the cute little guys into hip-hoppers? That’s like putting a cowboy hat on Charlie Brown or sneakers on Fred Flintstone …
