Artist Talk with Jeannine Marchand at LaCa Projects: Marchand’s current exhibit Con Relaciรณn al Espacio opened a while back, but she’ll be revisiting the gallery to discuss its works. The Puerto Rican artist with North Carolina ties (she lives in Spruce Pine) builds her artwork around the idea of environment. Her works are defined through folds, creases, twists and voluptuous overlap that places emphasis on space and architectural structures. Free admission, but RSVP at info@lacaprojects.com. Con A De Arte – A is for Art at Mint Museum Uptown: The event celebrates Latin American arts and culture. Downtown Davidson Art Crawl at Sanctuary of Davidson: More than 25 local artists will showcase their works, of varying mediums, shapes and sizes. There will also be live music by folk singer Charlie King and a wine tasting hosted by Davidson Wine Shop. More live music at The Birdnest and Summit Coffee. Free admission.
