Goodbye Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre… hello, PNC Music Pavilion. Charlotte’s largest outdoor amphitheatre has a new name after announcing a multi-year agreement between PNC Bank and Live Nation.
The venue, originally called Blockbuster Pavilion when it opened in 1991, has been known as Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre since February of 2001.
PNC Music Pavilion has a 18,000-person capacity and is located at 707 Pavilion Blvd.
