As Charlotte Caribbean Festival 2009 — presented by Caribbean Cultural Initiative — approaches you may start to develop a craving for some juicy, flavorful Caribbean food. Don’t worry, the fest will be happening some enough. In fact, it’s set to take place on Sat., July 25 at Independence Park. And in addition to authentic food, it will also feature a parade, entertainers, vendors and more. Free admission to the festival. Starts at 12 p.m.

I missed this parade, but it looks great, there are many parades in the Caribbean, and some of them are just gorgeous with all the elaborate costumes and creative dances. I found a list of other festivals that are also worth going to if you visit some other time of year.
