Set whatever book you’re reading down and head to Neighborhood Theatre tonight, for a special evening with author, civil rights activist and professor of Religion and African-American Studies at Princeton University, Dr. Cornel West. With more than 20 honorary degrees and numerous awards under his belt, he’ll speak in Charlotte at this event, presented by RealEyes Bookstore to raise funds for the 2009 Charlotte Literary Festival and the “Kickoff to Writing” scholarship program. The event also features jazz music, food and a variety of vendors. Tickets are $15.
