Face it: Green looks good in a corporate suit.

The Sustainability Technologies curriculum trains students for employment within a range of industries including environmental, construction, alternative energy and manufacturing. The program has a focus on energy production and waste reduction. The degree has four tracks: alternative energy, environmental engineering technology, sustainable manufacturing and green construction.

Graduates of the program can look to jobs in a burgeoning “green” economy, such as green-building supervisors, manufacturing technicians or sustainability consultants.

CPCC’s Center of Sustainability Program Coordinator Ernie McLaney says the degree also has a wider application that’s increasingly in demand by a variety of companies.

“Corporations want to be able to say they have an environmental policy person on their payroll,” McLaney says.
