Its been a tough year for newspapers. Then Sen. Barack Obama became president elect and you couldnt find a newspaper anywhere.
The Charlotte Observer was sold out yesterday and had to run a second printing. It was the same story across the country.
For a change, the black man on the front page wasnt a killer, athlete, rapist or singer. Hes the next president of the United States. Im not saying the black man single-handedly saved the daily papers, but he came pretty close.
Too bad Creative Loafing is a weekly! Damn!

I think she means so CL could put Obama on the cover … the paper was done a few days before the election results came in …
