Fantasy themes are spreading through art galleries in Charlotte like a virus, and we don’t mind a single bit. This surreal wave is pushing at our minds and making us think about things we don’t normally ponder – like say, little guys in pointy hats and other weird creatures.

The Gnome Show at Genome (how fitting!) features new works by artists Hans Drost, Tripper Dungan, Joshua Gage, Derek Ingram, Kelly Keith, Alexandra Loesser, Erich J Moffitt, Dustin Myers, Robert Page, Kyungmin Park, Ron Pete, Rodney Raines, Theron Ross, Henry Schreiber, Hannah Yata and Scott Partridge (notice how his pictured painting resembles the face of gallery founder John Josef).
