We’ve written before about some of the ultra-premium doofuses N.C. Republicans seem to love to send to Congress (Robin Hayes, we miss you!). Our favorite, simply because she’s such an unbelievable half-wit, is Rep. Virginia Foxx (and no, for the last time, just because that’s her name, it doesn’t mean she’s a softcore porn star). You may remember her as the devoted public servant who claimed that Matthew Shepherd’s death by homophobes in Colorado (a murder that has been fully documented for years), was “a hoax” — and then had to retract her offensive error almost immediately. Now, take a look at her latest accomplishment, imitating her very favorite former president. Looks like the GOP just can’t get this adage right to save their lives.
