No surprise here, the A-hole of the day is Rush Limbaugh who made the Haitian earthquake disaster an excuse to find a way to bash Pres. Obama who, he says, will use the catastrophe to “boost his credibility with the black community.” On top of that, the jerk smugly declared, “We’ve already donated to Haiti. It’s called the U.S. income tax.”

  1. Rush is on point, taxes are used to support Haiti.

Its good to see the US military saving lives and rebuilding rather than bombing and killing.

  2. I agree that gov’t aid is unconstitutional. In fact, private charities and individuals can do it much better without the gov’t. One wonders why the military is even involved. I’m just happy to see them helping rather than killing. If I had my way, they’d be back in the private sector instead of patrolling an unsustainable, unconstitutional empire.

Rush would do better to question the income tax rather than to just attack liberalism. But such is the case with the so-called right, they hate the left more than the State. Their attacks should be on the actual system of plunder called income taxation. The reason Rush can’t or refuses to question the State is because he wants the desired puppet (GOP) in charge of the system of plunder.

  3. lesser of two evils is a terrible way to make a choice…

    its still evil.

    Let’s see..hitler or stalin???? hmmmm…

There are other choices, like 3rd and 4th parties…or NOT voting.

  4. And once more, the two right wing doofuses highjack a liberal website in order to discuss the finer points of right wing ideology, aka lunacy.
Seriously, why don’t you two just get a room and leave the real people alone?

  5. I do see both the Democrats and the GOP being invaded by libertarians from within, those recent Lindsey Graham censures were orchestrated by a libertarian guy who joined the GOP. Its mostly at the local level. The national GOP right now is in an ideological fight between the imperial neocons (Limbaugh), “liberal” moderates (Steele) and old right conservatives (Ron Paul).

Both parties at one time had very good ideas, The Republicans used to be very strong on the constitution at one point. The Democrats were strong on sound money and states rights, at one point in their existence. So there is hope of bringing it back. Right now, both are run by establisment cronies.

That is the way to go, take over and try to remake the parties, unfortunately its unlikely to work past the local level.

I didnt vote in the last mayoral eelection or any of the recent city council elections. There arent any strong libertarians to my liking so I dont vote. I’ll vote on issues like no half cent sales taxes and things like that, but no candidates fit my radical criteria and thats my choice.
