AMC Entertainment Inc. and IMAX Corporation have announced that, beginning today, Charlotte moviegoers can now enjoy The IMAX Experience at AMC Concord Mills 24. The first film to be shown at the venue in this larger-than-life format is Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
The move is part of a deal between IMAX and AMC to install 100 IMAX digital projection systems at AMC theaters in various markets through 2010.
The Transformers sequel is also being shown locally in IMAX at Stonecrest at Piper Glen and IMAX Dome Theatre at Discovery Place.
Up next in the IMAX format is Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, opening July 15.
