Across N.C. people are praying to celebrate the national day of prayer.
If this week has shown us one thing, all of those prayers for rain worked. Over the last few days, Charlotte has gotten more rain than a little bit. There’s been flooding — and surprise, surprise, the Doral Apartments were flooded again.
So as you enter your religious service today, whatever you pray for, don’t let it be more rain.
How about you pray for this:
Pray that Bank of America passes it’s stress test and your neighbors keep their jobs. Unemployed bankers scare me.
Pray that people who took part in “Ditch Your Car Day” or whatever caused people to ride their bikes to work today, don’t get pushed off the road by a fool speeding in a Hummer while talking on the cell phone.
Pray that Miss California disappears. Who won the stupid Miss USA contest again? Oh, yeah, Miss North Carolina. ($5 if you know her name.)
Pray that Elizabeth Edwards and her cheating-ass husband John have made their last appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show. We get it: Mrs. Edwards has a book to sell, but haven’t we heard this story so many times before?

I was wonder why a women on her
death bed would write such a book, who cares about John Edwards and his family. John
Edwards is just like every other
man. He looks like a cad.
I think it all comes down to
the ALL MIGHTY DOLLAR. They build this great house and I’m
sure they have tons of bills.
The only people I feel for is
those two beautiful children
Jack, Emma everyone else can
fend for themselves….
