President Obama will be at the Charlotte Convention Center with Hillary Clinton this afternoon for the pair’s first appearance together during Clinton’s presidential campaign. The event will take place at 2 p.m., but it’s our suggestion that you stay away from Uptown until well after the event is over unless you’re attending or some other mandatory business forces you to be there, as traffic is sure to be ridiculous. In related news, just hours before the campaign stop here in Charlotte, FBI director James Comey held a press conference to announce that his office will not recommend that charges be brought against Clinton in regards to her private email servers. (see below, via CNBC) Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump will reportedly be appearing later this evening in Raleigh. He’s set to speak at the Memorial Auditorium at the Duke Energy Center for Performing Arts at 7 p.m.(Ryan Pitkin)
