Miley Cyrus canceled her Charlotte concert at Time Warner Cable Arena tonight 20 minutes before the show was scheduled to start.
The official word via Live Nation is “Cyrus has been diagnosed with flu and doctors have ordered her to rest. She will not be able to perform as scheduled.” Oddly, that sentence was followed by “The Miley Cyrus concert scheduled to play PNC Arena Raleigh tomorrow, April 8, will go on as planned.”
Though some fans want to blame the cancellation on the recent loss of Cyrus’ dog, it should be noted that Cyrus has played other shows in the last few days after its death.
The show will not be rescheduled. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase. Tickets purchased online or by phone will be refunded automatically.

Really Miley…. I am sure you could have been decided much sooner than 20 minutes before show time. Take just a second in your life to think about what some of your fans went through to get to your concert that you failed to show up to. Obviously no one ever told you the show most go on….. Saddened for the lack of professionalism you exhibited to your fans.
If anyone has heard of We the Kings… The bass player, Charles Trippy, was diagnosed with brain cancer and has had multiple surgeries to remove a tumor in his brain.. He is still on your with them. Unfortunately seizures are a side effect he still suffers from. Last week he had a seizure 4 mins before stage call. They had to delay the show but he still played from side stage. Midway through the set he came out and finished the show…. And Miley cancels 20 mins before hers with no explanation other than her publicist saying he has the flu. We can see who the true artist here is.
