Sundown showings of first-run movies on the Rooftop Pavilion

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – May 12, 2009 – Epicentre Theaters and Mez are launching a premiere outdoor summer movie-going experience, “Movies on the Rooftop.” The first screening will be Sunday evening, May 31, 2009.

Movies will change weekly, but will be selected from current hits and summer blockbusters, including Angels & Demons and Transformers. Screenings will take place Sunday nights, Wednesday nights, and one additional night each week. Movies will start at sundown.

Patrons will enter through the Epicentre Theaters’ lobby, purchase their tickets for $12 and head up the escalator to the rooftop. They also can grab a bite and drink from MEZ. As they cross the turnstile, they will be handed an outdoor chair and can settle in under the stars.
