Accused priest in Mecklenburg jail: Rev. Robert Yurgel, a Catholic priest, was booked around 9:15 a.m. at Mecklenburg County jail on April 13, charged with having sex with a 14-year-old boy in Charlotte in 1999. The jail’s Web site expects him in court on April 15.

Clinton, Obama focus on faith at forum: In Grantham, Penn., a forum for the two Democratic presidential hopefuls was held, but candidates focused on issues rarely ever talked about when campaigning for politics. They talked about the presence of God in their lives and how often they read the Bible. They also talked about issues of abortion, abstinence and human rights with in the realm of faith.

A quick turnaround, and Masters victory for Immelman: Trevor Immelman was the first South African to win the Masters in 30 years since Grey Player. Player left Immelman an inspirational and educational voicemail that Immelman received the day before the tournament. Immelman finished three shots better than Tiger Woods, who took second place for the second time in a major. “This has been the ultimate roller coaster ride and I hate roller coasters,” said Immelman.

China claims firearms found in Tibetan temple: Chinese forces found “modified semi-automatic weapons” hidden throughout a Tibetan temple southwest of China based on a tip from the public. Thirty firearms found throughout the monastery in Aba last month where anti-Chinese riots have been in recent weeks, state television said.
