MAY 16 — When you think of The Sunset Club, the first thing that pops in your mind is probably “an exclusive strip club that no one but the elite can get into.” OK, that’s fair. But tonight, The Sunset Club in association with Single Cell Productions will present A Gallery Showing By Justin Kates Studios. Photographer/artist Kates will also be searching for models at the event and those attending will get a special sneak preview of selected art from Kates’ forthcoming art book, Cirque Le Fatale. In addition, one-of-a-kind original prints will be up for grabs during a silent auction, progressive dance music will be provided by DJ Koji and DJ Jasperland, and, last but not least, fire spinners and carnival performers will take to the stage. 21 and up. $15 for general admission tickets; $25 for limited “Gold Circle” tickets, which include a personal meet and greet with the models, makeup artist, art director, photographer and two raffle tickets with a chance to win an autographed 24×36 Justin Kates original print during a drawing at midnight. 8 p.m. The Sunset Club, 1820 South Blvd., Ste. 106. www.singlecell.us.
