Regardless of the issue at hand, tolerance and acceptance are quite different things. Tolerance is expected (as long as no harm is done to others) from decent people. There is no right to acceptance. I don’t ask that others accept my principles, just as I will not accept theirs simply to make everyone more comfortable. Principles only matter when they’re difficult.
