Sometimes you only have to let the news speak for itself. Think Progress points out that Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) is all aflutter about the ACORN prostitution scandal, in which various ACORN workers were filmed trying to help a couple set up a prostitution business. The ACORN workers involved, needless to say, have been canned, and the organization says it will clamp down on proper training for new workers (it’s about time). Sen. Vitter, who had pushed for an end to all federal funding for ACORN, says he is “outraged” by the new scandal. Yes, he’s “outraged,” but probably not as outraged as he was two years ago when a Washington, DC madam revealed that Vitter was a favorite customer, had a diaper fetish, and took calls from her during roll call votes in Congress. Vitter, as Think Progress notes, hasn’t lost his federal funding. We report, you decide: hypocritical, shameless, clueless, or all of the above?
Glenn Beck, meanwhile, is criticizing anyone who says that Rep. Joe “You Lie!” Wilson is a racist. In fact, Beck, who can’t seem to remember what he has said from one day to the next, said yesterday that “you can’t just go around calling people ‘racist,’” because “racism is dangerous” and such ill-mannered charges contribute to “the declining quality of our public discourse” in which people “say things without basing their charges on solid evidence.” That bit of advice on propriety is from Glenn Beck, ladies and gentlemen, whose TV show has lost over half its sponsors because of his own claims that President Obama is a racist with a “deep-seated hatred for white people and white culture.” Again, you decide: hypocritical, shameless, clueless or all of the above?

A few months ago I wrote on my blog that, being a tad crazy myself (in a lovable and endearing way, I assure you) I have the ability to pick up on the crazy vibe of others. Some people have a subtle, barely perceptible form of craziness – others have crazy to spare. Our boy Glenn is in the latter category. He likes to describe himself as the modern day equivalent of Howard Beale, the character played by the late actor Peter Finch in the 1976 film “Network”. It’s an apt comparison when you think about it:
He’s mad as hell.
The first fact that struck me when researching the Beck biography was the day of his birth – February 10, 1964 – the day before his ideological soul mate, Sarah Palin, was born. Isn’t that interesting! Just what the hell were they feeding those kids in the maternity wards of American hospitals forty-five years ago? Later on that same year, the GOP would nominate Barry “In your guts you know he’s nuts” Goldwater as their standard bearer. Coincidence? I wonder….

The ACORN offices of Brooklyn, Baltimore, Washington, San Bernadino, San Diego, to date, have all had employees, working on the job, in publicly funded offices and offering services of how to develop a criminal enterprise involving the human trafficking of young girls into the United States to be used for sexual purposes.
Forget the two filmmakers were escorted out of the Philadelphia office–just because individuals in one office refused to be involved with criminal activity doesn’t excuse the the individuals in FIVE OTHER OFFICES who were engaged in that type of criminal activity.
One has to wonder how much of the public funding has gone toward supporting and co-conspiring to engage in criminal enterprises? And one has to wonder where the root of the problem exists…with attorneys such as President Obama, who represented ACORN in the past and who has worked to get them over $800,000,000 in funding from the Democrat Party to support the “Get out the Vote” for his campaign?
Is the problem House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for her weak stance on organized predatorial sex acts against minors who stated:
“It’s up to the Appropriations Committee to scrutinize Acorn or any other group that receives money from the federal government that has such an allegation against it.”
Is the problem many California Democrat Congressional members who still voted for ACORN to be funded and who didn’t view slavery and human trafficking of young girls for sexual purposes to be “an issue.”
Its time to vote all the bums out, from those who associated with the organization, to those that represented the organization, to those that justify the organization and minimize the acts of violence against women to those that see an individual shouting “You Lie” to the President is far more a serious act than enslaving children and trafficking them for purposes of prostitutions.
