The roaring 1920s were a time of glammy pizzazz. Flappers and greasy-headed gangsters just looked sharp, making themed affairs like the upcoming SpeakEasy an attractive night out on the town. Attire from the ’20s is encouraged (and you could even win a prize if your outfit is the best). Gaming tables and live music jazz things up. Tryon St. 704-358-4244. www.prohibitionclt.com.
