For folks with a fancy for athletic challenges, Saturday’s (March 24) Race to the Top should be scribbled onto the list of things to do.

During the event, participants race in a hefty climb up the Duke Energy Center building (that’s a whopping 50 stories and 1,194 steps in case you didn’t know). Sounds like a case of vertigo may be in order. Best of luck to those brave enough to try the ascension. A portion of the proceeds raised from the event will benefit the Levine Children’s Hospital and the Charlotte Sports Commission.
