Only one television station in the Carolinas, WSOC-TV (Channel 9), rejected the Welsh ad chronicling a fictitious texting-related car accident where several perish.

Thing is, you’ve probably seen it before since it’s been online for at least a year.

If you haven’t, here it is:

I don’t have a problem with the ad. But I do have a problem with people texting and driving, and swerving all over the road to do so.

The rejected ad is sponsored by AAA Carolinas Foundation. It is set to shock audiences into safer behavior on other Charlotte-area television stations just in time for the 4th of July weekend.

What do you think? Is the ad too graphic for Charlotte?

Better question: Is there anyone you know who hasn’t already seen it?

  1. I think the ad was a little bit graphic but as long it tells the truth about text and driving that will be fine.

  2. Texting while driving can lead to accident. This ad is good or bad depending on the views of people watching it. I think it is really important to stop the car and park it in the safe place to read your text.
