Check out these art exhibition openings and gallery crawls going down in Charlotte and the surrounding area today as selected by the folks at Creative Loafing.

• Opening reception from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. for the Postgig exhibition at Green Rice Gallery. This exhibition features original music posters curated by designer Clifford Stoltze. It includes original works by Modern Dog, Aesthetic Apparatus, Patent Pending, The Small Stakes, Seripop, Hammerpress, The Decoder Ring and more. Stoltze will also sign copies of his book 1000 Music Graphics. Exhibition continues through April 27.

• Check out an array of galleries with a variety of different types of art during the NoDa Gallery Crawl, which starts at 6 p.m.

• Opening reception from 6 p.m.- 9 p.m. for the New Works by Curtis Jaunsen, Paul Hunter and Terry DeLapp exhibition – which offers a contrast of paintings from minimalist and modern metallics to conceived Rembrandt-like classicism – at Shain Gallery.  Exhibition continues through May 31.

April is for Arts Gallery Crawl will go down in Davidson, from 6 p.m.- 9:30 p.m. Those attending can ride a trolley to a variety of stops at galleries and businesses, which will feature works from local artists.

• Opening reception from 6 p.m.- 9 p.m. for The Lake Norman Spring 2009 Exhibit – featuring artwork by members of the Lake Norman Art League- at The Lake Norman Art League.

• Opening reception from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. for LKN Artists: Oil on Canvas at The Great Frame Up. Exhibition continues through April 30.

• Open house featuring national and local artists from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at Foster’s Frame & Art Gallery. For more information, call 704-948-1750.
